Time only works in "always on " mode

First, the battery pack isn't securely attached to the reef. The wire needs to be purchased for DIY. Secondly, the timer only works in the "steady on" mode. The timer does not work in any blinking mode. I bought it somewhere else six four years ago for $20 a piece. I just wanted to add two more exterior windows. Going out in the morning and evening to turn the lights on and off is unrealistic. I've already thrown the box away.
