This item is beautiful and durable. I'm sure when bolted on tight it can hold a lot of weight in the boots. I've only used it on lightweight camcorder mics. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because the grip is left-handed (probably because the camera release button is always on the right side). , but I used that for a camcorder, which of course has the screen on the left. The mount can still be used, but when it's on the right side, the grip on the back is finger-shaped, so a bit awkward. Other than that, this is a great product.
