Strong mount. Not too big. Ideal for Sony flash with tilt function. However, you'll need to use some sort of accessory that attaches the flash to the hot shoe mount on the mount. The mount itself doesn't offer a flash mount, just a cold shoe base.

This is what I chose with my Sony HD camcorder for our paranormal research. That helps, but I want the LCD screen to open and close when installed. You need to open the LCD door and then install the light bracket. The rest works great.

i really like this product and also use it often for my camera and camcorder to boost the flash or light but i am left handed and the grooves on the grip are just for right-handed and rubber could be much thicker and softer to keep hands from sweating. Maybe a soft rubber foam will work with it.

Very durable quality and compatible with any number of cameras and devices to enhance the visual and acoustic needs of a project. I am using it with a Sony handheld camera so be aware that for the best situation when connecting the audio cable to the mic you will need to open the swing door/monitor before attaching the mount. I was very impressed with the fact that once installed you can still use the bottom bracket linkage to mount on a tripod.

This item is beautiful and durable. I'm sure when bolted on tight it can hold a lot of weight in the boots. I've only used it on lightweight camcorder mics. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because the grip is left-handed (probably because the camera release button is always on the right side). , but I used that for a camcorder, which of course has the screen on the left. The mount can still be used, but when it's on the right side, the grip on the back is finger-shaped, so a bit awkward…
