Review on SteelSeries Arctis Pro + GameDAC Black Wired Gaming Headset - Certified Hi-Res Audio - Dedicated DAC and Amp - for PS5, PS4, and PC by Kio Mateo ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's the best purchase I ever made, I will definitely do it again.

The sound after my former ears Steelseries Sebiria v3 is just something! In my old ears, I understood that I was essentially hearing some kind of mess, but I didn’t even suspect how bad everything was until I bought new ears with a DAC. Hi-Res sound is felt at 100%, although I am far from an audiophile, but I love high-quality sound. do not forget to set the correct sound output in Windows! Otherwise, the DTS:X surround sound function may not work well in games. There is an instruction on YouTube how to set up all these things, the video is called: "Arctis Pro + GameDAC - PC Unboxing and Setup".

Pros
  • SOUND - just fire! I am especially glad that it was not in vain that I took them more for music than for games. GAMEDAC is very easy to use and you can set absolutely everything from it, from the backlight of the headphones to the equalizer. HI-RES Audio mode (96kHz, 24 bit) - for listening to music, but still, it is probably desirable to listen to music of the appropriate quality, although the difference is probably not so great. PC mode - to control the volume of Discord/Game + DTS:X (spatial audio). The MICROPHONE is comfortable to use and produces a very clear voice, really clear. MATERIALS - very high quality, oddly enough, although on SS Sebiria v3 before that they were terrible.
Cons
  • PRICE bites so much that I thought "is it worth it?" until the last. If they cost at least 15k, I would calmly give it away. A LOT OF WIRES - you have to figure out what's what, the main thing is not to damage the connectors, which I almost achieved through inattention . Although the microphone is good, it catches all the surrounding sounds directly, it is corrected very simply - we put the conversation on a convenient button. Quite HEAVY, take some getting used to.
