This thing can't handle a rough ride. There aren't many bike lanes where I live and I have to ride a lot on sidewalks. Though each connection was tightened to a squeak, this thing dangled anywhere within a three-mile radius. It didn't hold up well on two 14-mile rides, and then the bracket broke off the back of the bracket halfway down the third ride. In summary, it has too many moving parts, flimsy construction and is too bulky for long bumpy rides. Save money and get something different!
