Used them to reupholster some car seats. Worked really well and you can't beat the price. I only had a problem with pliers; The handles are covered with a plastic/rubber sleeve that slides over the metal handles and is very loose, slides up and separates. Not a problem as they break within the first five or six uses. Luckily the edges under the sleeve are smooth and it actually works better without the grips. I plan to buy a plastic spacer and make some proper grips. Straight pliers are less useful than angled pliers, straight pliers don't seem to work as well with compression rings. There were only a couple of occasions when I needed straight and I found I had to compress the rings about 1/8th in order for them to hold the rings properly.
