Couldn't find a special tool for classic VW piston rings, I'm glad I found this kit, it's the right size and the whole box costs less than a hard to find finding empty ring compressor And besides, it arrives quickly. You will need to file the edges as they are very sharp and will most likely leave nasty gouges on your pistons or cut your fingers. A very useful (after sharpening) tool at a great price, the pliers are strong, the rings themselves bend quickly in the part you hold them and will break after bending them a few too many times, I think. The rings come in very thick packaging, with good protection against corrosion, with instructions printed on an oil resistant sheet, very smart! Good suggestion for occasional engine repairs, not recommended for heavy use Revain would like me to rate the suction power of this item. Yes, Revane, you suck.
