Very cheap pliers: Rings

Chinese scrap. It broke after installing a piston. This thing has cheap welds that barely hold together. Trust me, don't buy this junk

Easy to use, comfortable

Multiple sizes are an advantage. My application is about the restoration of a VW GTI 2.0. It worked perfectly for me, installed new pistons, pressed the rings well.

Poor construction. There was a burr on the edge of the ring band that scratched the surface of my head gasket. I had to get it. Saving on this cheap tool cost me $350.🤦‍♂️

Perfect fit for classic VW boxer engines

Couldn't find a special tool for classic VW piston rings, I'm glad I found this kit, it's the right size and the whole box costs less than a hard to find finding empty ring compressor And besides, it arrives quickly. You will need to file the edges as they are very sharp and will most likely leave nasty gouges on your pistons or cut your fingers.
