To say I'm disappointed in these headphones would be a gross understatement. Altec Lansing is not known for making high quality audio products but they have a decent reputation and I expected a decent product from them. The only thing I like about them is that they support wireless charging. (at least the case) and it includes a Qi charging pad. As another reviewer pointed out, the left earbud sits on the right side of the case, while the right earbud sits on the left side of the case. What a stupid design decision. It was very difficult for me to properly fit them to my ears. In the end, I was only able to get a good seal with foam ear tips. NONE of the silicone tips fit properly. I've used a ton of stuff over the years and I've never had so much trouble getting it right. Some of the different brands I have used in the past are: Etymotic, Ultimate Ears, Bose, Apple, JLabs, JH Audio, Monster etc etc. None of these brands have given me as many fitting problems as these Altec Lansings. I got them to fit properly (although the fit is still pretty poor but acceptable), I had no trouble pairing with my iPhone - at least that part worked with no issues. After the first song I played I was just blown away. Unfortunately, I was amazed at how bad they are. Now I have relatively high audio standards, but I wasn't even hoping for all that high quality audio - I just wanted them to be of acceptable quality so I can use them if I prefer something wireless when I'm on the move (my regular IEMs are custom JH Audio devices that require a cable). The sound quality of these Altec Lansings is completely flawed. The bass is extremely exaggerated and completely suppressed. That's not very good bass either - it's totally boomy and dirty. Even adjusting the EQ to roll off the bass helped a bit, but the audio still sounds too loud. Mind you, I'm not a fan of high frequencies either - I like a bit of a punchy sound spectrum for my portable headphones. Bass aside, the rest of the audio spectrum isn't great either. Clarity is completely killed. All in all just a really dirty sounding set of parts. I don't like listening to music with them. I think they would probably be good for phone calls, audio books, YouTube videos without music, etc. I'll classify them as those tasks and nothing else. To the right. If I pull them out of my ear slightly and break the proper seal, they actually sound a lot better (although still not great and they fall off very easily). Perhaps the major difficulty I've had in getting a good seal is actually a FEATURE and not a BUG (yeah, I'm kidding a bit now). The bottom line is that there are much better products out there. They deserve all the bad reviews they've received.
