After my husband broke three regular plastic and wire plastic fly swatters in one night, I went looking for something that could withstand his intense fly hunting. These are great fly swatters, good weight and click but most importantly they hold up well. Hitting the edges of metal furniture doesn't cause any problems either. They appear to be made of leather rather than real leather, ultimately leading to their death when they become brittle and cracked, probably after 10+ years if not stored in direct sunlight.
