I wanted to buy reusable cotton pads because I didn't like the idea of using one and throwing it away and how wasteful it was and how much it cost. Sure, a bag of cotton swabs is cheap, but they add up! I bought this set because I liked both the tote bag and the laundry bag. I sued them for a few weeks before writing the review to ensure I am giving the most accurate review possible. I like that they are soft yet exfoliating. I also like that they are double sided, using the white side for toner and the darker charcoal side for removing stains so they don't smear. They're also a decent size and don't absorb the product to the point where you think you're just wasting it. I washed it and yes the tie came loose in the washing machine which is normal. You can tie the bag back up, just make sure the clasp is as tight as possible before putting it in. I saw someone say not to dry them because they will shrink, but I decided to just dry a few and see how it goes. My dryer didn't shrink them at all and adjusted the softness a bit, but not enough to make me upset about it.
