Instationary for novelty and gag toys

I was very pleased with the look of this device and placed it by the window of my office where it happily spun whenever sunlight fell on it for hours every clear morning . I live in Southern California and we get a lot of clear mornings in the summer. Ordered on 2.6. At some point in the last week or two it stopped spinning. If I tap it or otherwise break the friction in the bearing, it spins hesitantly but slowly to a complete stop for a few minutes no matter how much sunlight it gets. I don't know if the vacuum was leaking or if the "bearing" had deteriorated. Anyway, now it's a static toy. Eh, I'll have another one, but not that brand.
