I've been using wired microphones for a long time and they all have one thing in common. wear out cords. And it's a bummer. I looked at several articles and this mic came highly recommended. I'm pretty sure they were paid to put them on their lists because the headset sucks. The first thing I noticed upon unpacking was the bulges inside the ear piece. They put pressure on the underside of the ears and are very uncomfortable to wear, even for short periods of time. I don't have particularly big ears but the padding barely fits around them and they get compressed and it's not comfortable at all. Aside from being uncomfortable to wear, my biggest issue was the voice chat. In several different programs everything was the same. People sounded bad when spoken to. I can hear well, but I can't hear others either. The game's sound was okay, but it lacked a lot, even with the included software and surround sound turned on. Would you like to watch movies in it? Forget it trash. Music? Garbage. Usually garbage when trying to manipulate the sound program. Wouldn't recommend these to anyone at all.
