I bought this to keep my bag out of the way of my Jetta. It was pretty easy to install. I carry bags that are larger than intended, but this allows me to push the bag farther and keep it from tipping over somewhere in the back of the car. The bottom feels light so I wouldn't trust it with heavier items. Works for my needs.
