I've heard good things about weighted blankets from people with diagnosed anxiety. I don't have a diagnosis, but I was having trouble sleeping due to a lot of stress at work, so I decided to give it a try. It felt very soft after unpacking and there was no bad smell (see first photo). I didn't buy the matching case because I just wanted to try it out before I commit. Please note that the size is smaller than my duvet in both length and width. I prefer that because I don't like it when my legs are broken. I've been using it for a week now and after using it I fall asleep quickly and sleep through the night. Two thumbs up! For the record, I'm a 115 pound female and I think a 15 pound blanket is perfect.
