Not recommended in the kitchen
I usually use a small amount of bleach to wash dishes, pots and pans by hand. When the rust grains reared their ugly head, the bleach found it too harsh. The next pad, using normal hot soapy water to wash the dishes on the next hand wash, still had "rusty bits" appearing! What? He took the last block, held it and poured hot water over it. Yes, again rusty crumbs/grains came loose that settled in hand. Therefore I do not recommend using it to wash dishes, pots and/or pans in the kitchen. Waste of money for nice scrubbers that don't cost anything.
