I bought this towel to dry my hair. Drying with a regular towel and air drying hair takes more than 24 hours (or 3 hours with a hair dryer, or 90 minutes in a professional salon). With this towel, my hair dried in about 2-3 hours. I have very dry, thick, coarse, low porosity hair 3-c. The soft waffle fabric feels good on the body and does not "sand" on wet skin. In fact, I was skeptical about this towel being split microfiber as it fails to capture the imperfections of my skin. The sales rep confirmed that their microfiber is indeed split. This towel looks great! Highly recommend Split microfiber 80% polyester / 20% polyamide nylon waffle weave Lightweight, compact Made in Korea I'll check GSM and let you know.
