Frustrating - printer should work -

When I installed new ink cartridges, the following message appeared on the printer screen: REPLACE INK CARTRIDGE AND CLOSE SCANNER UNIT .) (Y) 410, 410XL. The printer does not work because of this message. Should I return all 5 cartridges or will you help me? Please advise what you will do. Richard Koebertrjk121@verizon.net
