I forgot which men's magazine I found this product in, but I remember reading clearly that it was said to be Italian leather was. I'm certainly not a leather expert, but since it's in my office, all colleagues agreed that it definitely looks like plastic and not leather. I also think there is an issue with the charging cable as I have to unplug and plug it back in a few times for the white light to come on and actually charge my phone. (This also applies to using the USB port as a charger, which is generally more reliable). It's a handy stash for my keys when I get to the office, but if I saw it in person first I'd say it costs $50 at best.
