First off, the 'upgraded' (Innorel) Articse tripod is 'value for money', at least when compared to the price of almost identical brand tripods. What annoys me about this product is that it only has a foam grip on one leg and the grip is quite short. In terms of balance, the handle isn't long enough to comfortably carry a tripod. I'd happily pay a few bucks more for longer foam and have it on all three legs. It would probably cost the manufacturer $5. Looking around the internet it seems almost impossible that I could find the same styrofoam of the right size to add myself. I don't want to add cheap insulation foam that looks handmade. Aftermarket pens can be purchased for $50, but the manufacturer should have taken care of that. Second, the bowl is slightly smaller than the standard bowl, and the leveling arm under the bowl is cheap plastic that's hard to grab because it's so short and doesn't make much of a difference when leveling. They're barely wide enough to hold my phone inside. I'm pretty sure it will slip out eventually, so I probably won't use the one that comes with it. It really should have come with a hook to add extra weight under the bowl. When I first used it in the wind, I was surprised at how much it vibrated with a telephoto lens. Vibrations affect the tripod. I would like, to install and remove the spikes more easily without the use of tools. It's not exactly easy for carbon fiber. I would have liked it to be a little smaller when folded for on the go.
