This is good for shower curtains that have many small holes very close to the edge of the curtain. Our curtain had too much space between the holes and the edge of the curtain causing the fabric to bunch up making it difficult to attach the hooks and not holding them in place. While sliders work well on a track and work for a curtain designed to have precise edge spacing, there's little room for error. There are similar priced products that do the same thing when working with any edge distances.
