Okay, we ordered a few of these. The trick here is that you can't keep this item activated all the time to use it with the remote control. Your battery is waiting for the command to turn on and doesn't last long. We have to turn them off and on again to keep the dough from dying so quickly, and it will die quickly if you don't. It's a pain, we bought 12 to use under the counter and in different places. So I'm not at all impressed with the remote access feature. I like the different colors it can display, but that's about it.
