I like the convenience of using a thermometer in the mouth when the child is sick and not very cooperative. I have an ear thermometer that is giving erratic readings (between 98.0 and 102!) and we need to take multiple readings to get the true temperature. Maybe we're doing it wrong. Several readings were closer to that point though, so that's a good thing. One of the downsides is that when you control it you have to hold down the button and move it across your forehead. Sometimes when we press and release the button and then press it again to get the readings, it just scrolls through the historical readings and other settings. Then you need to force it to shutdown and restart.
