Prior knowledge, I really got a lot of help choosing a good mid-range PC to buy because I wanted something for both serious gaming and something useful for a computer science degree. I've narrowed the list down to "ASUS - ROG Zephyrus G14" and "Lenovo Legion 5". As you might have guessed from the fact that I left a review, this was my choice. Now I'm starting to ship, I'll first admit that I had a little problem with the UPS tracking feature because it showed my product would be delivered on the 18th. but was apparently delivered 1 day earlier. I wanted to add this to the review just to let others know if UPS delivers it assuming you should also be on the lookout the day before. However, if you skip this, the packet will simply be sent to your access point. No big problem just took a day longer than expected to get it. More importantly for the quality of delivery, it was really good considering it was over a week in transit, the laptop box in the shipping box was in perfect condition. As for the quality of the laptop and charger out of the box, I have to admit that I didn't directly open the laptop to carefully inspect the contents, and I didn't check every port. However, the exterior of the laptop and charger were in perfect condition, no chips, scratches or cracks, which is to be expected. When testing the buttons, they all seemed relatively well made. The design option of adding a "butt" to a laptop is something I've never come across before, but the presence of ports still seems great on first impressions, to be honest. Now, when I turned on the laptop, I was greeted for the first time by the backlit keyboard. which I "mocked" at myself for quite a while because I can type without looking, but now that I've experienced it, I feel better about finding keys I don't normally interact with. The touchpad feels great, although when gaming I still prefer to use the mouse I had, but for practice it allows me to actually leave the mouse at home. I think another thing to add to this section is the screen, I checked for dead pixels and that's great too. Continuing on the subject of checking out a laptop, what is advertised is what you get, the storage space will be a bit less as I have never seen a computer have perfect storage space as installation takes up part of it , but mine started out with about 92% of advertised space, which is common. To be honest, I don't know if I should go to the pros for a review because the current tech feeds will better inform you what the Lenovo Legion 5 has in common than am I insane or talking about my experience with them . YouTube's tech channels can also give you a rough comparison between PCs, which is why I chose Legion 5 as a whole. Youtubers will also tell you about the cons, but I think I should mention what I think should be downvoted. My only downside is the battery life while gaming, which I didn't think would affect me at first, but I tried to play a bit during my break and quickly realized I'd better not do it the way I do it wants to go home and charge. This isn't a huge mistake though, and besides, I still have the switch. I will also try to remember to give an updated review after 6 months and if I remember after 3 then after 5 years.
