I ordered the purple wax which is definitely a more intense color than the muted color shown in the photo. I would have preferred a metallic muted purple, but the more royal purple looks very pretty. The wax is more like a wax mix, it smells a lot like a hot glue gun and if you don't melt the balls properly before pouring you end up with those classic hot glue gun strings that we all know and love. The seals are also very flexible and resemble plastic when finished. If you want a more traditional wax, this won't work. These are both pros and cons depending on your preferences. Makes a stronger wax seal but is of slightly cheaper quality. If you screw something up, the seal melts back easily too, which is nice. The included tea lights work well but if you leave them on for too long they will melt all over. The spoon is very durable and even when hot, the handle will not burn. And the spoon pours very well. I highly recommend using ice or ice water to chill the stamp before use. (Just remember to wipe off the water) Also, we made our sealers in batches on a Silpat mat, which made seal removal very easy.
