My husband did a lot of research to understand why his new used Avalanche was smoking so much on take off. He knows how to work with cars but wanted to know if this is a common problem that requires a special solution or if it's just a couple of gaskets in the engine that need replacing or something. This part kept popping up as a solution to the smoke problem and the price was decent so we decided to give it a try before tearing the engine apart.
