First, I'm not a newbie. I understand routers, access points, hotspots. This isn't the first time I've installed it. I tried to use it with MINT MOBILE, a T-Mobile reseller. Access points are allowed in TOS. I've tried using all hotspots that T-Mobile provides. When I pasted the latest version of the APN into the router, it added gibberish characters to the name - it's not known if this was affected or not (see images). Log EVERY 30 seconds. When I tried to run speed tests, most of them failed because the connection kept dropping. When I was able to run speed tests, the speed returned was terrible. See image. Make sure the download speed is kbps! With the same SIM card, 4G works fine at full speed on the phone. After a few hours with this device I did a factory reset to start over. I tried for almost 2 more hours before giving up and requesting a refund from Revain. I have requested support from DionLink (seller). They replied to me but gave me no help or suggestions on how to get the router to work as advertised other than how to set up the hotspot "properly". no speed; no stable connection; continued to send error messages to the log every 30 seconds. Defective Returned for refund. I still need a GSM-based router/access point. I don't know what to buy next.
