It's easier to hang around in than sit up

I just received this item and was very happy to try it based on the rave reviews I've read elsewhere. I sit at the computer all day and have excruciating pain behind my left shoulder blade. I was hoping that this clamp would solve my problem. I've had it for two days now and it just doesn't help. No matter what position I adjust the straps in, they don't pull my shoulders back too much. I thought it would prevent slouching, but I'm actually a lot more comfortable in this thing than sitting upright. It doesn't seem right. The only good thing right now is that I'm constantly being reminded to take care to sit up straight as I'm constantly aware that something is hanging on me. Hence the two stars. But then, after sitting up straight for a while, I feel additional pain behind my other shoulder blade. So: constant discomfort and no more and no less pain. I'm desperate so I'm leaving this thing for another week but so far it's not working properly. If you're like me and hoping for instant relief, get another product. As for chafing: I wear a thin TS underneath and it's not a big problem. I suspect that some people who have a major problem with chafing just wear it inside out. As for wearing discreetly under clothing, it seems like a stretch. The straps are bulky at the shoulders and really shine through something light like a sweater or shirt. Under a very bulky sweater or when wearing a blazer, this piece may not be visible.
