This monitor is designed for those who need a companion for their 15-inch laptop with a screen that does not cause minor visual shocks when changing screens. This is purely a human consideration in terms of usability; It's not required for anything technical that I can think of. .PRO- HDMI input (via mini, cable included) 0- Speakers for basic use (forget "loud" as stated). Maybe good if you need a spare pair. - IPS for good viewing angle and colors - Full 1920x1080 not 768 .CON - I doubt this will satisfy actual gamers if that is the intended audience. Gamers use laptops with high-end graphics cards; Not all of these features are possible with this monitor - Not 5K. Consider what size requirements you have. There are strong arguments for smaller sizes as well as bigger monitors with USB-C video protocol. 5K isn't available in this price range, otherwise I'd recommend it instead.
