So so for the money
Not waterproof in the sense that the battery compartment sticks out in the middle and lets water through easily. The string of lights itself is likely waterproof. Not everything works in the box, wrote to the seller. They're very pretty when they're on. Lightweight, fun to use in different places. I used needle nose pliers to pull out all the batteries, it's easy. Just realized that there should be 4 screws in each battery compartment, but there are only 2, so they stick out in the middle. I would not order these again
