the advantage of this mp3 player is the price. This is a good entry-level MP3 player for kids: inexpensive, fits in your pocket, contains enough song data to be useful to a young listener. The user interface is adequate and allows for fairly rudimentary navigation of the song list. Downloading MP3 files to the device is a drag-and-drop process using a PC. Navigation isn't exactly intuitive for people used to the iPod. The battery life is relatively short. Recharging is required after a few hours of listening (when fully charged). Sound quality is a stumbling block. If you turn the volume above 20-22 (which is usually a comfortable range for headphones) the sound starts to distort (remember singing into a mic with a signal that is too hot). It is not intended to be connected to external speakers at all. When I plug this into a stereo, the volume of 20-22 is too low for anything but quiet listening (even with the amp on); As you increase the volume, distortion begins. For what it is, it's a cute little device. Given the price, you're probably expecting limits, and these are the limits I've encountered.
