Good turbine. It takes 30 miles per hour of wind to generate 400 watts.

This is wind turbine number 3. Two Air X turbines failed due to high winds and the Air X was incredibly loud. We have steady winds up to 30 m/s and occasional gusts up to 100 m/s. We have a 40 amp switch and rope attached to the back so we can 'lock' it downwind if it gets strong. Very quiet turbine. Today the gusts are up to 50 and I can't hear it in my house. I'm waiting to save up to buy another turbine.
