These traction boards look like many other leading brands (version 3 models) at significant cost savings. They should make a great self recovery option and save a lot of money and time compared to a tow truck etc. The carrying case looks nice but is fairly light, it's still a nice added bonus. Depending on your car's configuration, the included mounting hardware can be quite difficult to use and useless (for mounting over roof rack bars etc) but at least it's nice to hold a set of boards together tightly. There are some fairly easy DIY assembly options with online video tutorials that can be done with just some basic assembly materials if the supplied assembly materials aren't suitable for your setup.
