Pros: I love this cat tree! Just like my rescued cat! We bought two scratching posts when we rescued them 7 months ago. And that was the only thing I needed to get. It was easy to assemble. Easy to suck. The carpet is unique but worthy. Sisal has withstood rough play with a full claw and I would buy this brand again. Neutral: Like other commenters, I changed the form with no problem. My rescue kitty always hides low not high, even with the mod she's almost never upstairs unless she's chasing a rare moth or spider. She regularly uses every level except the top level. Another thing to note is that my cat is small, although I can see this tree can withstand a ton of use, I don't have a cat over 7 pounds so this is something to consider if you have a Maine Coon. Cons: This dangling toy is hazardous to your health. My cat ripped it off in 5 minutes and immediately started shredding. I had to throw it away or risk intestinal surgery. Just remove the toy when assembling, it won't be difficult to remove. This is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, would have rated it 4.5 stars if that was an option. Conclusion: I would buy it again! Update 3 years later: My rescue now weighs 8lbs with the correct feeding schedule. She's still a petite little lady. This disclaimer states that I am UPGRADING ONE STAR. Bonus: This tree has stood the test of time. again no problem. Assembly is easy even without instructions. Additional Disadvantages: Sections of sisal have discoloration on the sides most exposed to the sun. who cares. I really liked it (and I need to make more room in the house for a cat with a puppy). New comparison: I now have another Go Pet Club cat tree. (62" with ladder and hammock.) If you're hesitating between the two versions, then I recommend this 67" tree over the second 62" tree I bought with the hammock. Buy this, not that, and put away this stupid toy when you buy it, you don't care if you have to put away the toy after 3 years.
