Sometimes it sounds a bit crooked, but it works

This is a cute little tape recorder. I can finally listen to my old books on tape! It also has an FM/AM radio that does not receive FM radio. Cassettes sometimes distort the sound, but that's tolerable. Inserting a cassette in and out of the player can be tricky if you don't know how to insert it and do it carefully. The lip on the lid makes this a tricky task. It comes with a pair of cheap headphones, which is nice.

  • 1 year! This walkman requires 2 AA batteries (not included) or a USB power adapter (not included). When using USB power, it is recommended to remove the battery first.

That does not work! Slowed and Distorted

Yes the radio works, the design is nice, the external speaker is cool but DOESN'T WORK! It cannot play cassettes! I tried the exact same tape with the same batteries and headphones with my old Walkman player and it worked fine, it's definitely a problem with this particular tape recorder. I don't know what I expected from a $13 tape recorder, they are ALWAYS poor quality but this is by far the worst. I guess it just depends on your luck but the chances of getting a usable one are pretty slim…

Ideal for modding to add tape speed control

These days you have to spend hundreds or find a good deal on eBay to get quality portable cassette players that used to be commonplace. All in all, that's a lot. I bought it to work with cassettes in a recording studio. I grind cassettes and use cassette players for a variety of music making purposes.
