These tie down rings are better and heavier material than I thought. Assembly was easy and they hold up very securely. The standard bolts that hold the saddle in place on my Goldwing were long enough that I had some length when attaching these mounting rings. The only thing that might be an issue is that when these tie-down rings are used to secure something, the hooks on the bungee cords or slings can scratch or damage the side of the seat. This is easily avoided by using a short length of old bike inner tube. Simply cut two inch segments from the old inner tube and attach one to each end of the bungee cord. Attach the elastic cord, then slide the tub's protective inner tube over the hook and loop of the elastic cord. Simple but effective. I don't use these ties that often but when needed they are a life saver. I would recommend them to anyone with a Goldwing.
