Review on πŸ“· Top-Notch Performance: Camera Canon EOS 1D Mark IV Body in Sleek Black Design by Mateusz Dbkowski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good quality product, the price is commensurate with the quality.

I have been comparing it with the 5D Mark III for several days, trying to understand how much tastier the innovations in 5d3 are. In terms of noise, 1d4 is about the same as 5d3, verified by our own multiple tests, though in the raw 1d4 file there is more color noise that disappears after converting from RAW, then it becomes obvious that the nature and strength of the noise in these cameras are comparable, with negligible ! overweight 5d3. Also, these cameras show a picture of approximately the same level - the rest of the pixel-hunting is not related to photography. Now, not a single camera on the market will give a normal picture already at 25600 ISO, not to mention more, depending on the conditions and application, well, max 12800. Looking for pluses in the crop factor is a thankless task, although the depth of field at open apertures increases, which is convenient for reporting, 16-35 becomes a very convenient super-wide-angle staffer, turning into 20-45mm, but 24-70, on the contrary, loses its versatility, and the viewfinder becomes smaller (although the focus points are more convenient), this is the only thing that upsets at first after ff . But getting used to the new viewfinder is a matter of a couple of days. Autofocus settings in 1d4 are hidden in the menu with user settings, and in 5d3 they made a separate menu for them, which is more convenient, but 1d4 also has the ability to fine-tune the autofocus operation. A high rate of fire is also useful in wedding photography and even in some artistic scenes, not to mention sports) I really like the ability to record voice notes, so that later it would be easier to identify what and where I shot) In general, the camera is excellent, even despite the frightening small crop in which even there are pluses.

Pros
  • Build quality, reliability and reliability (shutter tested for shock resistance with a resource of 300,000 operations), autofocus (only 1DX is better) works at apertures up to 8, unlike the younger series where a maximum of 5.6 (you can use lenses with aperture 4 and extender 2x not losing autofocus). Also ease of operation, battery life, shooting speed and overall performance + small pleasant things.
Cons
  • The price, of course, is just the price. I don’t consider the size and weight to be a minus, compared to the 5d series with baht. block 1dmk4 is the same! At the same time, nothing backlashes if you press harder and there is no risk of breaking the clamping ring, trying once again to tighten it. Also, no need to twist the baht. block before shooting at very slow shutter speeds.
