I also have a 34" LG 1080 Ultrawide Monitor and it's a lot better.
I think a curved screen is crucial for maintaining a viewing angle and a consistent viewing distance. There's not much documentation and explanations of the controls, but you can find out .FWIW, I use it for work, not gaming.
