I installed a pair of these lights on a 1997 Jeep XJ Cherokee to replace the existing and not working well Wagner brand lights. It was a big improvement and not a problem. The light scattering in the low beam has many light and dark points in the overall light projection, but the high beam appears to be very evenly mapped. I will continue to purchase Silverstar sealed carriers for my Jeep. They typically don't last as long as regular incandescent bulbs, but they do have a brightness advantage. You should also take a small tube of lamp grease with you for the installation to protect the electrical contacts from corrosion.
