This is the biggest bag I've ever owned. I was wary of taking such a large bag thinking it would be bulky. It is not! It's so well made, the weight is evenly distributed, the shape doesn't feel dull or thick under the arm even when full. The short straps are the perfect length and width to fit comfortably over the shoulder and under the arm. I have "weak shoulders" and it didn't slide or roll off me at all. I like that it's a "flat" design. I keep papers, stickers, books and other things in this pouch that I don't want to fold or crumple and they stay flat and upright! They won't sink or move even if my wallet, glasses, phone, keys and other things are floating in my purse. Despite its size, it's also relatively easy to find everything inside. I haven't used it day to day to speak of durability but it seems to me that it can withstand wear and tear for a lifetime. Aside from my other small canvas chala purse and my "leather" chala purse which are in perfect condition from the past two months of daily use, I would say this purse is great for mixed materials. Although I don't know how it behaves in the rain. It feels lightly waxed on the fabric parts so it can shed light rain. Just a fantastic bag. Worth buying! Nice that you finally let off steam and spoiled yourself.
