My ceiling fan in our bedroom suddenly went on, I thought it was the switch so I ordered a 3 pack Topbuti 3 Speed Ceiling Fan Switch 4 Wire Zing Ear ZE-268S6. I later learned it wasn't a switch, it was a ceiling fan capacitor. Then I ordered a capacitor (5-wire ceiling fan capacitor for NEW TECH Harbor Breeze 4.5uF 6uF 6uF 50/60Hz AC 250V CBB61 compatibility), replaced it and the switch and I'm happy camping. I have two other fans that lost 1 or 2 speeds so I first went to Home Depot to have the switches replaced and the switches never worked properly. I decided to swap these switches in 2 ceiling fans that were still not working properly and 2 hours later. later all my fans are like new. I am ordering 3 more packs to have on hand when needed. Helpful Tip: Solder the wires going to the switch from the wires that aren't already tinned, and don't cut the wires that are inside the switch, instead remove them with a paper clip or a very small screwdriver to free the retaining spring to squeeze.
