I was very happy to find this punch so I could make my own decorative paper punches. Unfortunately the design is terrible. There is no way to visualize where the punch will make the hole. You should put in a decent sized piece of paper and hope for the best. You can only get a small picture by looking at the side of the slot where the paper goes. In addition, the stamp is poorly constructed. Every time you hit it jams hard and it's hard to release. I learned how to insert a butter knife into the paper slot and twist it a little to loosen the die and free my paper. Extremely annoying! Once I find the right size round punch I will use that and a standard punch to make my amps like this. This punch is going to the landfill, what a waste.
