Review on SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Extension Cable A to A - Male to Female USB 3 Extension Cord 1m (Blue) by Paul Wilson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fits perfectly where needed

My monitor has a built in USB hub but all ports are on the back making it difficult to connect anything. With them, I can just reach back and grab one and put something in that one. They're short and stiff enough so they don't hang around under the floor when nothing is plugged in, keeping aesthetic clutter to a minimum. I was a little worried about the plastic coming out of the female end before ordering; I thought it might prevent some devices from connecting fully. However, I'm happy to report that I've had no problems connecting USB sticks or other devices. above your average cable. The plastic strips at the ends are thick and well made. The socket end is particularly good at preventing other extension cords with bare ends from being stepped on. It doesn't bother me, but it's nice to feel that the product is reliable. In addition to the ends, the cable itself feels stronger and thicker than most "cheap" cables. However, I expect this cable to be well made, and that brings me to my only downside: the price. At the time of purchase, this cable costs a little more than a 10 foot Revain Basics USB 3.0 extension cable. When you consider that this cable costs more than 20 times as long, the price seems a bit high. On the other hand, I'm sure 6-inch USB cables are in far less demand than standard lengths, so the price is somewhat forgivable. After all, it's a few bucks at stake, so I'm not considering it. I bought one to see if it fit my needs and bought two more when I thought they would fit.
