Good Quality 6 Inch Black USB 3.0 Male to Female Extension Cable.

Ideal when the USB 3A ports are too close together to allow the use of two adjacent USB devices. The manufacturer implies that these extenders can sync up to the maximum speed of USB 3. I have no way of verifying this. The max speed I've had for a short time is 200MB/s for large files, but I can't really blame those cables for that as the transfer speed is as slow as the slowest element in the cycle. My laptop's USB port may be limiting the specified transfer rate. They are durable.

Despite all claims of USB 3.0 speeds, mine runs at 3.0 speeds.

So I needed a USB 3.0 extender and it's tiring to reach for USB 3.0 on the back of my desktop. Many USB 3.0 hubs today are still unreliable and expensive, so I'd like to use a cable for now. I was a little scared after reading all the reviews that this cable can't run at USB 3.0 speeds. The only sub-par speed I can think of is poor shielding, which causes many of USB 3.0's high-bandwidth data cables to fail. But I took a chance and the cable I got works at least at USB 3.0 speeds on my Seagate…

Fits perfectly where needed

My monitor has a built in USB hub but all ports are on the back making it difficult to connect anything. With them, I can just reach back and grab one and put something in that one. They're short and stiff enough so they don't hang around under the floor when nothing is plugged in, keeping aesthetic clutter to a minimum. I was a little worried about the plastic coming out of the female end before ordering; I thought it might prevent some devices from connecting fully. However, I'm happy to…

This cable dropped the transfer speed to USB 2.0

I bought this cable to use with a 2TB Fantom Greendrive USB 3.0 hard drive to use with the short 3ft USB 3.0 cable that came with the drive. Unfortunately, the data transfer speed I observed when using this extension cable was the same as when using a regular old USB 2.0 cable. The following test results are from CrystalDiskMark v.3 in three configurations with the same drive: 1. Using the original USB 3.0 cable that came with the drive, 2. Using the original USB 3.0 cable along with this…
