Best PTZ I've seen and I own a few different Models

This is the best PTZ for auto-tracking, picture quality and zoom. It has an amazing picture at night without the IR lights on and there is very little noise. The zoom is incredible and clear even at night.I saw in one video review the person thought it was overkill for a homeowner. After owning this camera for a month, I'd have to agree as its field if vision is narrow compared to other cameras but the auto-tracking, automatic zoom and speed more than make up for it. It does have a problem with bright spots like lens flair from the sun that will throw off the tracking at times but it does a very good job at collecting license plates from passing vehicles. If you are in a neighborhood where crime is rising due to our latest outbreaks, this camera, if placed high enough, will be able to track anything that moves on your property. It does a fantastic job at tracking all movement.Line Crossing and other AI was done quite well as they are set on a 3d plane. Each position that you set it handled based on where the camera was pointed at the time. If it is at a different position, those locations are still in their original position much like a 3d globe. I've never seen that kind of though put into these cameras before. Usually, when you set an area for Motion Detection for example, it is based on the frame, not camera position. This camera is unique in that respect. The speed when tracking is enough to keep up with moving vehicles and moves faster than you could with a joystick at the console. It will amaze you to see.As for Value, it does seem a bit expensive but knowing what it does, it is worth every penny.I am using Blue Iris for recording so I can't speak to its storage capabilities the other reviewers mentioned. I don't know why anyone would use this camera as a stand alone and not part of a whole security system. The class of this camera is beyond the homeowner buying something to access remotely and read the SD card when something happens. This camera is at the level the police department would use to capture license numbers or at higher security installations. If you are wanting to use this under your eve in a city or even rural area, it will probably not do what you want as it needs room between its installation and what you are monitoring. It should be mounted no less than 15 feet (3 meters) up and at least 30 feet away from what you are monitoring if you want more than a 30 foot coverage at zoom level 1. At zoom 25, you can read license plates from 200+ feet away.

Pros
  • Camera & Photo
Cons
  • Limited Storage Capacity: The SD card recording function may seem convenient, but it has limited storage capacity, and users may need to keep replacing memory cards to hold the recorded footage, resulting in extra expenditure
