I only received the backpack yesterday so haven't been able to use it but it looks sturdy, is well made, probably waterproof, looks professional (not for camping) and seems to cushion the laptop well. So why the low rating? I was looking for a laptop backpack under $30 that was the closest to the dimensions of my regular free airline personal item (16 x 15 x 7 inches). In this promotional photo of the backpack, it was shown as 17 x 13.5 x 7 inches, but it's actually smaller: 16" x 11.3" x 5" seam to seam. True, it can be packed and stretched , say in width but this will reduce its thickness I'll probably go back and look for another one.
