Those are parentheses. They work. Easy.

Ideal for a boat hatch. I installed them with an Everest Parts 24 inch drive. I had to drill the mounting holes in the actuator a bit wider to get the mounting pins through, but it was easy to do. Both brackets were supplied with cotter pins as shown. Not black/dark grey, but in the photos they appear in plain silver steel.
