The first two jugs arrived broken. The outer box is undamaged but the inside is broken. The third arrived well. Very thin glass, used once and after refilling the jug I lightly banged the glass on the jug handle which was full of water on the counter. The jar broke where the handle was attached, and large cracks formed throughout the body of the jar. The blow was very light and insignificant, and the pitcher should not have broken. I like the design but it makes it very difficult to clean the inside. Unless your hand is the size of a child's hand, you won't be able to get your hand in the jug. Due to the fragility of this pitcher, it cannot be washed in the dishwasher and is therefore very difficult to clean.
