The texture and feel are very soft and the colors are very rich. It doesn't cover the entire top of my bed, but if you want to hang it or wear it as a cape, or even leave it behind to show your pride, you certainly can. This is a good blanket, I'm just a plus size lol. This is a really great purchase and I hope whoever is reading this knows that you matter, your life matters and you are valued. It's going better.
