These "smart light bulbs” only sometimes turn on or off when using both the official "Smart Life” app as well as Google Assistant (app and speaker). When they do not work I receive a message saying that one or more bulbs "isn’t available right now.” Then, I have to walk the whole 5 feet to the light switch as if it was still 2015. Also, when I ask Google Assistant to change the "living room lights” e.g. green, often only 1 or 2 of 3 mights will change. to So basically they can’t do the main thing they are supposed to do. I bought these hoping to find an alternative to the very expensive Hue bulbs, but perhaps functioning light bulbs are worth the premium.Other than these issues, I would say that these bulbs are bright enough. Although I am often surprised by the color the bulbs change to when using Google Assistant (e.g. the bulbs are far too red when I ask Google Assistant to make the bulbs amber, etc.), I note that the colors are shockingly consistent between the three speakers (I expected the colors to be all over the place given the pitiful connectivity performance).
